GGB tribological polymer coatings for cranes

Cranes

Giving your crane operation a lift with tribology

Crane engineers face many unique challenges—from automatic greasing system failures, sealing issues and cost of maintenance to safety and noise, vibration and harshness (NVH). These are costly, time-consuming issues and can have a big impact on an operation’s bottom line. GGB’s tribological surface solutions are not only designed to solve these problems, they also help prevent them from happening in the first place.

The Big Challenges for Crane Manufacturers & MRO

The Big Challenges for Crane Manufacturers & MRO

Automatic lubrication system failure, demanding environments, noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) issues as well as high maintenance costs are major challenges for the crane industry. With GGB's tribological plain bearings and polymer coating solutions, you can increase the productivity of your crane system, extend its service life, and reduce downtime and maintenance costs. Benefit from our self-lubricating, grease-free plain bearings, TriboShield polymer coatings and paired TriboMate coatings solutions which offer low friction and high wear resistance.

The difference is clear with Tribology

GGB can provide customers with a viable tribological solution with our range of standard TriboShield or our paired TriboMate polymer coating solutions for just about any crane—from smaller chain hoists to enormous Gantry crane operations. GGB’s TriboMate® paired coatings are specifically designed to work with and enhance the performance of GGB products—bearings and TriboShield® coatings. Our environmental-friendly coatings can also replace chrome in your application. To meet the need for high load, self-lubricating bearings that provide low wear rates, we offer our line of Fiber Reinforced Composite bearings. GAR-FIL bushing offers very good friction and wear properties in these demanding conditions.  Because the environment for these cranes is usually dirty, we introduced our SBC sealed fiber reinforced composite bearings and assistance in how to insert it. Our application and tribology experts can partner with you and develop a unique design proposal.
