On June 15, 2017, GGB recognized its manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China, with the President Safety Excellence Award, the President Environmental Excellence Award and several employee awards of excellence.
The President Safety Excellence Award was received for the facility’s ability to responsibly look out for the well being of each and every employee, both in the workplace and at home. This is a personal and shared responsibility by all GGB employees who uphold a belief that all accidents can be prevented. GGB President Susan Sweeney commented, “That’s how you get better: more impactful ideas that result in better business practices and a great place to work.”
Suzhou Plant Manager Edward Li presented the President Environmental Excellence Award, for the plant’s strong sense of social responsibility that is demonstrated through its commitment to safeguarding the environment with sound business practices that prevent pollution and minimize waste through recycling.
Lastly, several GGB employees were awarded the Commercial Excellence Award, EnPro Manufacturing Learning System’s President Award/Factory Move Award, and President Operations Excellence Award. Each award represents GGB’s employee-first attitude and is given to an employee for their ongoing commitment to the company’s long-term development.
