GGB Slovkia is ISO 50001 certified

GGB Slovakia s.r.o., a subsidiary of GGB Bearing Technology, has received certification to ISO 50001 standards for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving its energy management system. Standards were assessed and certified by independent auditor Astraia Certification s.r.o.

“Compliance with this standard has a significant positive impact on both our operational and environmental performance. Improving energy efficiency not only helps boost our bottom line, but also underscores our commitment to responsible environmental stewardship, a core value of both GGB and our parent, EnPro industries.”

- Robert Paskuliak, Plant Manager, GGB Sučany

A World Leader in Energy Management

The production plant in Sučany is the second GGB location to attain ISO 50001 certification. In 2011, GGB Heilbronn GmbH was the first EnPro Industries company to achieve this international management system standard.

In addition to best practices in energy management, GGB Slovakia s.r.c. has also received recognition as one of the countries’ 10 safest companies, along with certification to the world’s most recognized health and safety management systems standard, the Occupational Health and Safety Management (OHSAS 18001).

An Achievement in Continual Improvement

GGB plants are ISO certified

ISO 50001 was developed by International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to enable organizations to follow a systematic approach to achieving continual improvement in their energy performance. It specifies requirements for energy use and consumption, including measurement, documentation and reporting, design and procurement practices for equipment, systems, processes and personnel that contribute to energy performance.
