GGB has issued a new 60-page designer’s handbook for its line of high-load, self-lubricating filament wound bearings, including new HPMB® machinable bearings.
Also included are GAR-MAX®, GAR-FIL®, HSG, MLG, HPF®, HPM and Multifil bearing materials and GGB-MEGALIFE™ XT thrust washers. These materials combine the lubricating properties of filled PTFE with the high strength and stability of an oriented glass fiber wound structure.
Applications include aerial lifts, snowmobile/ATV/ CVT clutches, water turbines and construction, agricultural, material handling, processing, waste/recycling, packaging, railroad and other types of equipment.
The handbook covers general characteristics, product descriptions, design data, performance, misalignment, installation and machining, and standard offerings, including European size ranges according to DIN ISO 4379 for the replacement of traditional greased bronze bearings.
