GGB India was recently interviewed by NBM & CW magazine at BAUMA CONEXPO India 2014, where Sales Manager Mahesh Thangamani indicated the company plans to increase its presence in the construction equipment sector through its offerings of maintenance-free bearings.
In the January 2015 issue of India’s leading construction industry publication, Thangamani is quoted as saying, “Users of construction equipment in India at par with their global counterparts are looking for higher equipment uptime and lesser maintenance intervals. At GGB, we provide advanced composite bearings which are clean, maintenance-free, lightweight and environmentally friendly".
“The general cause of failure of bearings is improper maintenance,” he explained. “As part of customer support, we help towards selecting the appropriate bearing based on the application of the equipment and suggest appropriate maintenance practices.” The article notes that GGB customers include Caterpillar, Volvo, John Deere and Case New Holland, and that the company is targeting the wheel loader, backhoe loader and tipper truck markets in India.
