GGB Bearing Technology’s polymer bearings are featured for their use in packaging machinery and food and beverage equipment in the January 2017 issue of Konstruktionpraxis, a leading German industrial engineering journal:
The article details GGB Bearing Technology’s EP series of engineered plastic bearings for use in packaging machinery and food and beverage equipment. Consisting of nine different materials, this series of bearings are manufactured from modified high-performance plastics in combination with reinforcing fibers and solid lubricants by injection molding.
The lightweight, corrosion-resistant bearings exhibit excellent dimensional stability, low friction, high wear-resistance, pressure and creep resistance as well as low thermal expansion. The self-lubricating bearings are virtually maintenance-free, eliminating the need for additional lubrication and the potential for contamination, making them ideal for applications that come into contact with food, beverages, pharmaceuticals and other products intended for human consumption.
GGB offers extensive experience and technical expertise, working closely with customers to develop tribologically optimized, application-specific bearing solutions. For more information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
